Templates Workshops

During this workshop participants had the chance to learn how to make drawing templates on the basis of short assignments through which they could create and design their own templates or draw motives such as flowers or leaves which are usually used by the architect Pierre Cuypers in his work.

When

Why
The workshops were part of the Campaign for Drawing project in the province of Limburg, The Netherlands. The workshops had the purpose of involving the public during the National Museum Weekend in drawing activities through which they could learn about the Het Cuypershuis and at the same time be creative and get inspired in their templates by the work of Pierre Cuypers.
The final results proved that the workshops were a total success, as a great part of the public joined the workshops. A further collaboration between the Het Cuypershuis and the Het Centrum voor de Kunsten Roermond, in creating and putting into practice future drawing activities, is expected during the next National Museum Weekend.
