Theatre Textiles Workshop
For the second time during the National Museum Weekend in the Netherlands, various museums and art centres from the province of Limburg participated in the Campaign for Drawing project by developing and putting into practice numerous workshops and drawing activities for children as well as for adults.
What
Inspired by the exhibition Textile Theatre Textile at the Museum de Kantfabriek (The Lace Factory), the workshop encouraged visitors to make their own theatre costumes by moulding paper onto a mannequin. Visitors took inspriation from the costumes in the exhibition, by first drawing the outlines of the exhibted clothing and costumes on fragile waxed paper. After making their drawings participants cut out the clothing shape and consequently hang the sheet of paper on the mannequin.
