Trevi Big Draw 2010

Location:
Umbria, Italy

Facilitators: Virginia Ryan, Irene Dominici, Francesca Grieco, with the support of the Comune di Trevi, Umbria, Italy

In partnership with A.M.A.C.I – the National Day of Contemporary Art in Italy

In 2009 we were the first city in Umbria to take part in the Big Draw; this was our second year.

We invited people of all ages, locals and visitors alike, and around 700 joined in!

People gathered in the piazza to draw together on long pieces of paper stretched across tressle tables.

Some did independent drawings and paintings producing portraits and caricatures, others did colourful hand-prints with paint.

The final works were displayed pegged along strings across public buildings.

We were amazed at the response from people of all ages and are making an archive of all the works produced.

Take a look at our Youtube video and see the piazza busy with people drawing! We also have a Facebook page where you can see more photos of our Big Draw 2010.
