The Big Draw At Buckingham Park Primary School, Shoreham-by-Sea
Celebrating The Big Draw by having a day of drawing involving the whole of the school.
We took part in our first Big Draw in 2008 and have staged an event every year since.
On the Big Draw day, a selection of drawing tools are laid out in the school hall for children to use. These include large pieces of material, sand in a tray overhead projectors to cast shadows and large pieces of paper for children to draw on and add to. Each class is given the opportunity to visit the hall and experience The Big Draw, either working alone in a group, they can learn that if they find using a pencil and paper tricky, there are plenty of other enjoyable ways to create wonderful images.
